Trade Shows & Exhibitions

Trade shows and exhibitions are a major part of what we do at ARN Design. Whether you’re planning your first stand or already have a well-developed concept, we can help take your project from brief to manufacture drawings, build and installation support, with a clear approval process at every stage.

Talk through your stand

Exhibition stands built around your brief

Every exhibition project starts with what you are trying to achieve. For some clients, that means talking through the basics:

  • Why you want a trade stand
  • How you want to use it
  • Whether you will be sampling
  • What graphic elements you need
  • How you want people to interact with the space.

For others, it means starting with an existing concept and moving quickly into the technical side. If you already have designs, we can pick things up from there, redraw them for manufacture, and build from that point.

The aim is simple: create an exhibition stand that works in practice, reflects your brand properly, and is ready to be made without unnecessary back-and-forth.

Bring us an idea, or a design that is ready to develop

Not every client comes to us at the same stage.

Some have a rough idea and need help turning it into something practical. Others arrive with a very well-developed concept and need a team that can take it forward into manufacture.

We are happy to work either way. Once there is a clear brief and an agreed direction, we can draw the stand up for manufacture and move it towards production.

Design for manufacture, with approval before build

A big part of making an exhibition project run smoothly is making sure the stand is properly resolved before anything is built.

Once the concept has been agreed, we produce manufacture drawings and take them back for approval before we start building. That keeps communication open, reduces the chance of surprises, and helps make sure the finished result matches what has been signed off.

That approval stage matters. It’s how projects stay clear, practical and controlled from the start of the build through to completion.

Responsive build for real exhibition deadlines

Exhibition work doesn’t always arrive with months of lead time.

We have built the business around being nimble and responsive, handling short-turnaround work when it is the right fit. We don’t work to rigid fixed lead times, because every job is different, but we understand that exhibition deadlines are often immovable and sometimes tight.

We can design and manufacture in-house using CAD and CNC-based processes, custom joinery and fabrication techniques. This allows us to resolve practical build considerations early while still retaining the flexibility to respond to evolving briefs and late-stage changes when needed.

Of course, more lead time is always welcome. But if a project lands late and the scope is right, we can move quickly.

Installation support, UK-wide

If installation is part of the project, we can support with that too.

We can deliver and install where needed, helping clients move from approved drawings to a finished stand that is ready for the event. That’s particularly useful where timing, venue requirements and on-site practicalities all need to be coordinated properly.

Site-ready support for exhibitions

Exhibitions often involve more than design and build. Venues and organisers may also require health and safety documentation before anything can be installed.

If we are installing, we can produce the relevant RAMS and supporting paperwork. If we are not installing, we can still help with method statements and related documentation where needed.

That makes us a practical partner not just for the stand itself, but for the process around getting it ready for site.

Support for first-time exhibitors

Not every client has exhibited before.

If you are new to trade shows and exhibitions, we can help you make sense of the process as well as the stand itself. That might include:

  • Talking through how the stand will work
  • Helping clarify what is needed for the event
  • Supporting you with the paperwork that comes with exhibiting.

We have already helped first-time exhibitors work through exhibition application requirements and risk assessment paperwork, so if you are unfamiliar with the process, you will not be left to figure it all out alone.

A clear process from brief to build

Our exhibition work is built around a straightforward process:

  1. Talk through the brief – We start with what you want the stand to achieve, how you want it to function, and what elements need to be included.
  2. Agree the direction – Once there is a clear way forward creatively and practically, we move into the technical stage.
  3. Draw for manufacture – We create the drawings needed to take the stand into production.
  4. Approve before build – Those drawings come back to you for sign-off before anything is made.
  5. Build and install as required – Once approved, we move into build, with installation support where needed.
